On April 29, 2013, the results of the closed competition of architectural concepts of the Empire Tower multifunctional complex as part of the Moscow City international business center were summed up. The jury awarded the victory to the UNK project, which received the right to conclude a contract with the customer for further design of the facility.

Architects developed the concept of a building resembling a cruise ship on one side and a triumphal arch on the other, indicating the main entrance from the Krasnopresnenskaya embankment to the City. The project provides for the placement of medical, retail and office space, parking for 815 cars and open public spaces. According to the jury, this decision allows you to create a dynamic architectural image, given the commercial "business" purpose of the building.

“Glass and stone lining will be used in the decoration,” says Yuli Borisov, “these materials will give harmony to the new facility with the Moscow-City complex. The lower part of the building will be heavier, and towards the top it will dissolve in the air. ”
The chief architect of Moscow, Sergey Kuznetsov, hopes that the new building will improve the quality of Moscow-City development. “The Moscow City complex should get a good, diverse architecture,” he stressed.
